CORKMEET 2011 Partners
CORKMEET 2011 - DUBLINFORUM is funded and organised by Trading Link Cork, a partnership for business between Cork County Council, Cork County & City Enterprise Boards, Cork City Council and Cork Chamber, in partnership with Dublin County & City Enterprise Board and Plato Dublin and is part of Innovation Dublin 2011 which is taking place across Dublin between 17th October and 18th November, to demonstrate Dublin's capacity to inspire, interact and innovate.
Cork County Council
Cork County Council is the administrative authority for the region of Cork County. Cork County Council has been involved in organising business trading missions for the past number of years, recognising their potential economic benefits for Cork based business. In its commitment to sourcing international business opportunities for Cork companies, the County Council signed up as the Official Irish Partner for Futurallia (see information below) in Ireland.
In order to maximize access to this international networking forum for Cork companies, the County Council worked together with the Enterprise Boards of Cork City, South Cork, West Cork, and later Cork Chamber, to offer these opportunities to a wide network of Cork Companies. (North Cork Enterprise Board joined Trading Link Cork for CORKMEET 2009).
Cork County Council is also committed to marketing Cork for business and tourism around the World, and has worked to develop international relationships in this regard.

The Enterprise Boards of Cork City, South Cork, West Cork and North Cork have been actively involved in previous Trading Link Cork initiatives.
The Cork County and City Enterprise Boards are the first port of call for anyone wishing to start or expand a business in Cork. The Boards work closely with small businesses at every stage of development, from the initial idea, right through to growth and expansion.
Supports include:
- Business advice and mentoring
- Training and information services
- Management skills development
- Financial assistance (Dependant on the type of business activity)
- Business networking opportunities
The County and City Enterprise Boards were established by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment in 1993. Co-funded by the Irish Government and the European Union, Cork County and City Enterprise Boards are part of a network of thirty-five Enterprise Boards nationwide, set up to promote an enterprise culture and encourage entrepreneurship at a local level.

Cork Chamber is a private membership organisation. It is the leading business organisation for the promotion, development and expansion of economic and commercial activity in the Cork Region. The Enterprise Boards of Dublin City, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown, Fingal and South Dublin have been actively involved in previous networking initiatives including PLATO Dublin.
Futurallia is a private French company dedicated to organising international networking events for business. This internationally recognized business to business match-making forum has successfully brought thousands of businesses together since its founding in 1990. Futurallia has developed a purpose-built software system, which allows participating companies to register a company profile online and request meetings with other participants.
Futurallia was the IT support partner of CORKMEET 2010.
